Video & Audio Intercom
Possibly the most widely used form of access control is the intercom system; using either audio or video, communication to an entrance and an authorised person inside the building who can remotely unlock the door. This system is used in a wide range of settings, from offices to flats, where the distance between those granting access and the door is too great for convenience. A simple button on the intercom panel activates a handset inside the building and speaker / microphone combination at both ends allow and a two way conversation can take place, while optional video feed allows the person inside to see who is at the door before granting them entry. Multiple handsets can be configured to individual buttons at the intercom panel, allowing visitors to identify themselves with the relevant person - especially useful in shared offices or flats.
This system can be used in conjunction with keypads, card readers, or traditional keyed locks to allow staff in without using the intercom system. Here at A.M Fire & Security we cna provide a wide variety of different intercom systems to suit your individual needs. Traditionally, access control intercom systems required their own individual cabling between the door(s) and handset(s), but modern systems can be wired into your computer network, whether wired or wireless, or telephone infrastructure. This last option is especially useful as it can simply use existing telephone handsets, or to your mobile phone - meaning you can answer your door from anywhere in the world.
AM Fire & Security can integrate these access control systems into your overall security system to make your security as easy as possible to control.
At AM Fire & Security we offer our specialist security services throughout the South East including Sussex, Hampshire, Surrey and London. As members of the NASIC group we are able to handle national contracts with a higher level of customer care than a National security company.
